Tasks: use the board, create tasks and change status
The Tasks module organizes your team's work as a kanban board. Create a task in under a minute, move it between statuses, and find every detail on its card.
- You're signed in and your organization has the "Tasks" module activated.
- Optional: a project or a CRM client you want to attach tasks to.
- 1
Prioritize and assign tasks
Every task has a priority (Low, Medium, High, Critical) shown as a colored dot on its card, plus an "Assignee" field for one or more teammates. Set both while creating the task or any time later in its detail view.
- 2
Move tasks with drag and drop
As an alternative to the status dropdown in the detail view, grab a card on the board directly and drop it into another column (Backlog, Todo, In Progress, Done). Both paths update the status instantly, with no save button involved.
- 3
Subtasks and dependencies
In the task detail, add subtasks under "Subtasks" and link a task to its parent via "Parent Task". Use "Waiting on" to flag what a task is blocked by, and the "This task is stuck" checkbox to mark it as blocked.
- 4
Filter and search tasks
The tabs below the title (e.g. Marketing, Operations, Engineering) filter by category; "Manage Categories" lets you define your own. The search bar finds tasks by number, title or description, the Filter button combines several criteria, and the toggle in the top right switches between kanban and list view.
- 5
Open the tasks board
Open "Tasks" from the main menu (route /tasks). The board shows the default columns Backlog, Todo, In Progress and Done, each with its own add-task button. If a sprint is active, a Sprint tab appears next to "Board".

- 6
Create a new task
Click "Add Task" in the top right (or the plus button on a single column). In the form, only "Task" (the title) is required — status, priority and category are already filled in with sensible defaults. Add a description, due date, milestone, project, client, estimated hours, tags and assignees as needed, then click "Create".

- 7
Open a task's details
Click a card on the board to open its detail view. The left side holds the description, subtasks, decision context, attachments and comments; the right side under "Properties" holds every structured field such as status, priority, assignee, due date and category.

- 8
Change the status in the detail view
In the "Properties" section, click the status dropdown and pick the new status (Backlog, Todo, In Progress, Done or List only). The card jumps straight into the matching column — no save button needed.

- 9
See the result on the board
The board reflects the change immediately: the task appears at the top of its new column, and the counters above the columns update along with it.

New tasks start with values already filled in
Status "Todo", priority "Medium" and a category are already selected in the form. If you don't consciously change them, you'll pick these defaults up without meaning to.
Status "List only" removes a task from the kanban board
A task with status "List only" no longer appears in any kanban column — it isn't deleted, it's just only visible in the list view. The first time this happens it looks like the task has vanished.
Deleting asks for confirmation first
The trash icon in a task's detail view opens a confirmation dialog. Only after confirming is the task gone for good.
